Privacy
Donewell keeps what it needs to run your checklists, and uses Google Analytics to learn which pages and features are used. Nothing that names you, your staff or your restaurant is ever sent to Google.

Who runs Donewell
Donewell is built and run by one person, Tanner. Write to [email protected] for anything on this page, including a copy of your data or a request to delete it.
What the product stores
If you use the app, Donewell stores:
- your email address, and the name you give, so you can sign in;
- your restaurants, their checklists, and who you invited to work them;
- every sign-off: who made it, the item, the time on the phone and the time it reached the server, and any reading or note;
- photos taken as proof, which are kept for two years and then deleted.
Photos are stored privately and are only ever shown through a link that stops working after fifteen minutes. The free checklists on this site keep your ticks in your own browser and send them nowhere.
Google Analytics
This site and the app use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which features are used — for example, which template pages lead to a sign-up, or how often a checklist is worked offline.
What is sent:
- the page you are on, as a general address like “a run” rather than which one;
- actions such as signing up, signing in, ticking an item, or subscribing — with the item’s type (check, number, photo or note), never its wording;
- a random identifier for your browser, and, once you are signed in, a random identifier for your account.
What is never sent:
- your name or email address, or anybody else’s;
- the name of your restaurant or any location;
- checklist wording, readings, notes or photos.
Advertising features are turned off. Donewell does not buy ads through Google, and nothing collected here is used to target any. Google keeps what it is sent for 14 months.
Your choice
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics stores nothing in your browser until you allow it. Elsewhere it is on by default. Wherever you are, “Privacy choices” at the foot of every page lets you allow it or turn it off, and turning it off removes the cookies it had set. Your answer is remembered on this site and in the app alike.

Who else handles your data
- DigitalOcean hosts the servers and stores the photos.
- Cloudflare carries traffic to and from the site and the app.
- OneSignal sends the sign-in and digest emails.
- Stripe takes payment. Donewell never sees your card.
- Sentry receives error reports, with email addresses removed.
- Google receives the analytics described above.
Changes
When what Donewell stores or sends changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
