Donewell compared with Jolt
The short version: Donewell publishes its price — $9.95 a month or $99 a year for the whole account, however many sites you run — and Jolt does not publish one. On 15 September 2026, jolt.com/pricing redirected to a “Request a quote” form and their homepage offered “REQUEST QUOTE”, a free meeting and a phone number. Everything below is either from Donewell's own pricing page or from Jolt's public pages on that date.
Quoted pricing is an ordinary way to sell software to multi-site operators, and it usually means the price depends on which parts you take. It is not a criticism, and this page makes no claim about what Jolt charges.
| Donewell | Jolt, as published | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $9.95 a month or $99 a year for the whole account, on the pricing page. | Not published on jolt.com. jolt.com/pricing redirected to a “Request a quote” form. |
| Per-user fees | None. A twelve-person kitchen costs the same as a three-person one. | Not published on jolt.com. |
| A second site | No extra charge. One subscription covers the account, one restaurant or six. | Not published on jolt.com. |
| How you get a price | Read it on this site, start the trial yourself. | “REQUEST QUOTE”, “Setup a Free Meeting”, or a phone number, on their homepage. |
| Free trial | 14 days, card required, cancel from the settings page. | Not published on jolt.com. |
| Contract | Month to month at $9.95, or $99 paid up front for twelve months. | Not published on jolt.com. |
| Photo proof | Camera capture on the item, re-encoded on the phone, timestamped and attributed. Choosing an old photo from the camera roll is not possible. | Not something we can state from their public pages, so we do not. |
| Works offline | Every sign-off is written to the phone first and sent later. A walk-in with no signal is the normal case, not an error state. | Not something we can state from their public pages, so we do not. |
| Setup time | About ten minutes from the template library, self-serve, with no call. | Not something we can state from their public pages, so we do not. |

How much does Jolt cost?
Jolt does not publish a price. On 15 September 2026 the pricing URL on their site led to a quote-request form rather than to a price list, and the way to find out what it would cost your restaurant is to fill that form in or call the number on their homepage. Third-party sites quote numbers for Jolt; we do not repeat them here, because we cannot verify a number we did not see on the vendor's own page.
What are the differences you can check without a call?
Exactly one, and it is the one this page can stand behind: Donewell's price is on a page you can read right now, at $9.95 a month or $99 a year for the whole account, with no per-user fee and no extra charge for a second site. Everything else in the table above that concerns Jolt is marked “not published” because it is not published, not because the answer is unfavourable to them.
When is a quoted product the better fit?
Jolt describes itself on its homepage as “an operations management software available on multiple platforms” covering team accountability, digital food safety and employee performance, for restaurants, retail, hotels, car washes, grocery stores and healthcare (jolt.com, 15 September 2026). That is a broader product than this one. If you need scheduling, training, labelling and hardware temperature monitoring from one vendor across many sites, a conversation with a vendor who sells all of it is a reasonable way to buy.
Donewell does one thing: the checklist got done, by a named person, at a recorded time, with a photograph where it matters, and a digest of what was missed in the morning. There is no time clock and no scheduling, deliberately. If a single independent restaurant wants proof of the close and nothing else, that narrowness is the point.
How do I try it without talking to anyone?
Start with a free template — the ten restaurant checklists on this site work in the browser with no account — and if the list is right, start a location. The trial is fourteen days and setup takes about ten minutes.

Or start a location and use the trial.
